ACTIA Aerospace, division of the ACTIA group, is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of power amplifiers for satellite transmissions. For almost 50 years ACTIA has been developing an efficient, innovative and reliable range of tube amplifiers (ATOP), solid state amplifiers (SSPA) and amplifier with L-band converter (BUC).

This range of power amplifiers signed by ACTIA meets all the requirements of satellite transmissions for civil but also military applications with rugged solutions qualified in many theaters of operation.

ACTIA power amplifiers are available in 19 ” racks for bay integration or in a waterproof case for outdoor use. Solutions are offered in all satellite transmission bands.


ACTIA Aerospace offers a wide range of single or multiband TWT amplifiers for SatCom applications. The offer covers the needs for compact and robust amplifiers that can be integrated outside and amplifiers for use in standard 19 ” indoor rack. ACTIA TWTAs use the latest generation of multi-collector tubes requiring less consumption per watt of RF power and optimizing heat dissipation.
ACTIA Aerospace also offers, on its tube amplifiers, the integration of a linearizer to increase the useful power available in the case of multi-carrier applications. ACTIA Aerospace has attractive TWTA solutions for very high-power transmission or for power transmission at high frequencies.


ACTIA Aerospace offers a wide range of Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) in a compact version that can be integrated outdoors or in an indoor bay in modular configuration. Pioneer in the modular design of solid-state power amplifiers which allow to offer a gentle degradation of the output power and maintain operational service during maintenance (Hot Swap).

The ingenious design of the ACTIA modular amplifiers makes it possible to perform this “plug and play” type operation without interrupting traffic. ACTIA Aerospace offers reliable, self-redundant and very linear modular SSPAs, with power ranging from 200 to 2kW. In the case where size is of prime importance for a compact integration as close as possible to the antenna source, ACTIA Aerospace offers high-performance external SSPA from 20W to 100W. ACTIA Aerospace masters the design of SSPA whatever the technology of the LDMOS, AsGa and GaN to offer its customers products optimized according to the needs (performance, cost, consumption …).


ACTIA Aerospace has external amplifiers equipped with an L-band transposition option (BUC). This functionality allows the customer to optimize his system architecture by directly applying the L-band output of his modems to the input of the amplifier which supports conversion at the appropriate transmission frequency. This function is very useful in particular in the case of mobile transportable stations or flyaway to reduce the number of equipment and the space requirement or in the case of fixed stations to limit the losses of long interconnections to the amplifier on the antenna.


To secure the transmission or to further increase the available power, ACTIA Aerospace knows how to offer complete RF subsystems for amplifier redundancy (1 + 1,1+1+CA, 2 + 1,2+1+CA) or phase combination amplifier with the necessary control and management units. These custom-made subsystems are produced by ACTIA Aerospace for both indoor or waterproof outside integrations, adapting to the constraints requested by the customer.
ACTIA Aerospace is also a privileged partner of the European Space Agency (ESA) for the development of solid-state power amplifiers or Klystrons with enhanced performance, in particular for communication missions with deep space probes.
